A Tribute to Dallas Cowboys Legends And The Success Of Cowboys Tickets
The Dallas Cowboys Team is one of the most popular teams in the National Football League. In fact, it is dubbed as “America’s Team” for it is one of the favorite teams not only in the United States but internationally as well. They were given their well-deserved recognition in their “home”, the Texas Stadium in Irving, Texas.
A committee, which they call Committee of One used to take care of choosing people to be inducted to the Ring of Honor. The first committee of one was under the originator and former president-general manager, Tex Schramm. They gave high value on the talent and the character of the person to be inducted. However, from 1989 onwards, Ring of Honor decisions have been taken care of by its owner Jerry Jones.
Induction to the Ring of Honor ceremonies is done during the half time of a Monday Night Football. An inductee’s name and jersey number are unveiled beneath the press box at the stadium. Then he would put on his Cowboy uniform once more and accepted the honor along with a number of other gifts.
A Ring of Honor distinction is a coveted one. It has been bestowed upon only on the most deserving, just as Tex Schramm envisioned it. Schramm himself was selected to the Ring of Honor in October 2003, several months after he passed away. To add distinction, the first inductee, Bob Lilly returns each time to present each new member to the Ring of Honor. Today, there are 17 inductees in the Ring of Honor. Each one has left a legacy, each one has made cowboys tickets sold out and each one has become a legend of America’s Team and the National Football League.
